I see each tamariki as a unique individual with a great capacity to learn and to make positive connections with their surroundings. Their needs and interests should be met with an appropriate developmental level, supported individually and with care; their strengths should be fostered and developed further through relationships with the wider community and whānau. As kaiako, I ensure that equitable learning opportunities are on offer, where a balance between teaching and learning for children to participate in and grow their capabilities.
